Thoughts about the world, humanity, society and social interactions are central to the creation of Jean Rohe's music.  With this record, Jean Rohe proves that difficult subjects don't always have to sound like angry diatribes. Compassion and serious thoughts can also be made into beautiful, smooth flowing music.

Rohe concludes, "The end of the world" has been part of the mythology of almost any culture through time, so it's not like I'm the only one thinking about this! In titling the record, I thought about the fabled band on the Titanic, how they just kept playing, even as the whole ship was sinking. We need to do that, to continue creating beauty even in moments of extreme chaos and ugliness. It is an act of resistance, it is humane."

From her New Year song, she sings:

"You will find the missing key
And you'll reveal the hidden door
You will banish all the demons in a sparkling glow
No one said it would be easy, but you'll find your way home."

And so thus continues she, hacking through the chaos, seeking, this Jean Rohe, this singer, this priestess. The water goddess pours her thoughts into words. And the music plays on.

"It shall be. It shall be."
