Person Who Has Had an Influence On Me:  Giuseppe Aliotta, my martial arts instructor.

In What Way?:

Giuseppe showed me how martial arts can improve every facet of an individual's character.  The hard work and perseverance developed through martial arts can be applied to all aspects of life and can truly change your mindset for the better.  He taught me many things, including, but not limited to:  "The mind gives up before the body", and "Where passion leads, money follows".  The first quote that was incessantly drilled into my head conveys the idea that one can push past any struggle and obstacle in spite of your own doubts and coping mechanisms.  Quitting is not an option.  Struggle is the precursor to enlightenment.  The latter quote posits that money should not be the priority, but should

be the result of one's actions.  Follow your heart and the rest will fall into place.

COLINIZATION!

THE FACE OF OCTOBER 2012

My Life's Philosophy:

Although money cannot buy happiness, it does give you options.  Growing up poor and having many trials and tribulations in my younger years, I have learned to appreciate the power of money.  Money cannot buy love and friendships, but it can give you the best heathcare, education, leisure time, the ability to be altruistic and charitable, freedom to spend more time with the people you love, etc.  Ignoring these truths, seems naive and dystopian to me.  I am not sure there is a specific divine purpose in our life, because I am too human to fully understand the mysteries of faith.  However,  I will live my life to the fullest and find contentment in appreciating the myriad of people in my life.

Childhood dream:

My dream as a child was not specific, but more abstract in nature.  I knew i wanted to be the "boss".  I always found comfort in power.  Power allows your creative desires to come to fruition and the freedom to express yourself as you see fit.  I always envisioned myself as a "mogul" of some sort and thrived on the idea of calling the shots.

Dream now:

My dreams now are more earthly in nature.  I dream of marrying my girlfriend, the woman of my dreams.  I dream of being successful on a comfortable level, with enough money to have options and to enjoy my time.    I dream of having a family of my own.  I dream of growing old with my friends who are very dear to me. I dream of making my family proud and projecting myself beyond my humble beginnings in Pittsburgh.

My idea of Romance:

Romance to me is a very personal thing.  Romance means being true to yourself.  Expressing yourself however you see fit to the one you love.  Doing things in a spontaneous manner because it "feels right".  Romance is playing the love game, without playing a game at all.

What melts my heart:

Seeing seniors who have been together for many years, still displaying their adoration, love, and affection to eachother.  I believe this is the pinnacle of happiness.
